MobileMorse is a program written in java that is supposed to help you learn
morse code. It is supposed to run on henheld devices (e.g. mobile phones) with
java.
MobileMorse uses a teaching method which is much similar to the Koch
method. MobileMorse starts out with 4 characters. When you feel
comfortable with these four characters you can add another
character. MobileMorse has two teaching modes: Manuel and
Interactive. In the manual mode you add characters yourself when you
feel that you are ready. In the interactive mode MobileMorse adds a
characters once you have guest minimum 20 characters and your
guesses are at least 90% correct.
MobileMorse also has a "Text-to-Morse" facility that will playback in
morse the text you have entered.
MobileMorse can be configured to output morse code at various speeds (1-50
words pr. minute. 25 is recommended). The volume, tone and spacing between
letters can also be regulated.
This midlet was written using j2me (CLDC 1.0 and MIDP 2.0). It was
tested on my Motorola mobile phone where it seems to work. I have not tested
it on other phones. The program uses MIDI to generate morse code.
This software is licenced under GPL. Do what ever you wish with it,
but on your own risk.
You can get the source code from the anonymous cvs.
